About Paul
Jewelry designer gemologist, Paul Christopher Abood, travels all over the globe in search of gemstones and estate jewelry. He is involved in trading throughout the Far East cutting centers in Bangkok, Myanmar, India, Beijing, Russia and South America.
Paul studied jewelry design and gemology at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, earning both a Graduate Gemology Degree and Jewelry Design Degree. Paul specializes in creating unique and unusual jewelry designs which incorporate sculpted colored gemstones set in textured and high polished precious metals and accented with natural white and fancy colored diamonds. He is also an avid collector of fine mineral specimens and paleontology specimens, and is a regular attendee at the Munich Gem Show, Munich, Germany, and the Tucson and Denver Gem Mineral Fossil Shows in their respective cities.
Jeweler to celebrities, actors and theater patrons, when he is not traveling you will find Paul actively involved in his passions of jewelry design, appraisal and brokering of estate jewelry at his retail shop conveniently located in the beautiful Playhouse Square Complex in Downtown Cleveland, the home of the second largest theater complex in the country, and home of the world’s largest outdoor chandelier. Paul has been the resident jeweler in the Theater District since 1988.
